USU Extension 4-H Donated Meat Program Event
SALT LAKE CITY, UT – The annual Utah State University Extension 4-H Donated Meat Program media event and service project is held Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Utah Food Bank warehouse in Salt Lake City at 3150 South 900 West.
The event, which is one of the largest 4-H service projects of the year, provides an opportunity for youth and leaders to sort meat from large bins into smaller boxes that will be shipped throughout Utah to help feed hungry families.
Participating counties include Millard, Cache, Tooele, Juab, Salt Lake, Summit, Wasatch, Morgan and Uinta County, Wyo.
