Box Elder County - 4-H Livestock & Horticulture Intern
Location: Brigham City

Hourly wage: $10
Start date: 5/20/13
End date: 12/10/13
Internship duties: Gain experience with multiple areas of Extension including working with 4-H youth and parents involved with livestock projects, and present information to youth and parents involved with livestock at the county fair.  Will also gain experience with horticulture and agriculture Extension programs.  This experience will include answering home horticulture problems, working with county agents to develop fact sheets and presenting Extension information to the public.

Internship duties: Assist in summer 4-H program including leading 4-H clubs, assisting Extension faculty and program assistants with day camps, county fair and county contests. Other Extension/4-H tasks as assigned.

Utah County - Afterschool Educator Assistant

Internship duties: Help with data entry for new online system; assist in preparing revised forms for Afterschool on the 4-H website; assist with preparations for training Afterschool coordinators; assist in preparations for training volunteer teen leaders; assist with preparations for the County fair; assist with judging other county fairs. Intern will also assist with planning teen leadership games and teen council and other various meetings and day camps; help assemble training manuals and t-shirts for clubs and collect inventory information for the new check-out library.

Internship duties: Assist Wayne County USU Extension faculty in planning and implementing State 4-H Leadermete held in April 2014.  Duties include but are not limited to  fund raising, office tasks, organization of workshops and other events, working with all collaborating agencies, planning and communicating with state-wide 4-H groups.  Must possess organizational skills and be detail oriented, work well with youth and adults, and enjoy life!

Weber County - Ogden Botanical Gardens Internship

Location: Ogden
Hours per week: 40
Hourly wage: $9.50
Start date: 5/6/13
End date: 8/12/13
Internship duties: Serving the public at the Ogden Botanical Gardens and working with Extension personnel, diagnosing plant problems, answering questions, helping staff gardening events, and working to maintain the different gardens.  There will be several forestry, native plant tours, and other educational activities throughout the summer. The intern is a part of a team with other interns and staff to educate the public and develop, maintain, and evaluate the gardens and plants.  Also, interns are asked to complete a project, of their choosing, over the course of the summer.
