USU EXTENSION CO-SPONSORS UTAH HAY AND FORAGE SYMPOSIUM
LOGAN — Utah State University Extension and Utah Farm Bureau co-sponsor the 2013 Utah Hay & Forage Symposium Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 in St. George at the Lexington Hotel and Conference Center.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about new technology and techniques to better their business. The conference features a rotation of pre-conference workshops including seeds and planting, weed identification and soil management. Breakout sessions will be taught by hay and forage-savvy farmers and business leaders. In addition, leading businesses in the industry will participate in an all-day trade show.
“We are happy to join with the Utah Farm Bureau Federation to provide this symposium to address critical hay and forage production issues in Utah,” said Earl Creech, USU Extension agronomist. “I believe we have an excellent program planned that will help farmers and ranchers improve their profitability.”
Conference registration cost is $65 and includes a poolside breakfast Friday. Student rate is $30. Room rates are $89 under the Utah Farm Bureau Group Block. Call 435-628-4235 for hotel reservations. Visit http://utahhaysymposium.eventbrite.com/# to register for the conference.
