This is the third of three in a series explaining how to read and understand food labels. THe FDA only allows certain types of health and nutrient claims to be made on food packaging and company webites, and the FTC works closely with the FDA to regulate what can be said about food products in advertisements. This fact sheet provides information on some of the most common label claims and what they mean to consumers.
