LOGAN — Utah State University Extension 4-H is a partner with the Afterschool Best Practice Fair, which offers workshops, booth presentations and idea sharing for afterschool programming. Sponsors for the fair are the Afterschool Utah! Association and the Utah Afterschool Network.
The Best Practice Fair is Oct. 5 at the College of Eastern Utah in Price and runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a regional meeting of the Utah Afterschool Network from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
“The workshops and presentations are designed for those involved with afterschool programming and will provide a variety of ideas and activities that can be easily implemented in local afterschool programs,” said Deb Jones, Utah State University Extension 4-H volunteer development specialist. “Those dealing directly with youth, and those seeking to begin or strengthen an afterschool program, will find much to help them. After browsing through booths and observing demonstrations, participants can walk away with a notebook full of ideas to implement in their local program.”
Admission to the fair is $10. Admission for AUA members is $8. There is no charge for those presenting. For more information, visit or or call 1-888-4H-YOUTH. Those interested in presenting a workshop or special demonstration can download a workshop proposal form from the Web site.
