Utah State University Extension, in partnership with Department of Workforce Services, offers relationship education classes this fall in many Utah counties. Three class topics are offered at varying locations and times and include “How to Avoid Falling for a Jerk or Jerk-ette,” which is designed for singles and dating couples and teaches steps for building high-quality, long- lasting relationships; “Couple LINKS,” which is for committed and married couples and is designed to enhance and deepen relationship skills; and “Parenting with Love and Logic,” which teaches parenting skills and methods for raising responsible children.
Most classes are taught in a three-part series. All classes are free, but participants must register to attend.
According to Naomi Brower, USU Extension associate professor, the classes provide excellent research-based information that will help improve the quality of people’s lives.
“Those who have attended classes previously have shared how beneficial this information has been personally and how many positive changes they have seen in their lives as a result,” she said.
