FAQ

Question

Q

Is it healthy for Kentucky Bluegrass to be kept at a cutting height of 2 inches if a reel mower (as opposed to a mower with rotary blades) is used?

Answer(s)

A

Two inches is a perfectly acceptable height for Kentucky bluegrass whether a reel mower or a rotary mower is used.  The only limitation will be how high you can raise the blades of either type of mower.
