Question
Q
can sour cream be frozen?
Answer(s)
A
Sour cream does not freeze well because of its texture. It will separate after thawing. You can stir it back together, but it will not be like the original. After thawing, use it as an ingredient in foods. If sour cream is a main ingredient in casseroles (for example), then they too might separate after thawing. Small amounts in recipes does freeze well.
