working ranch horseIn 2007 our counties Working Ranch Horse Program was started. This year we hope to see it continue in growth. The Ranch Horse program is a great opportunity for youth that have a background in Ranching to show off some of their skills. Not only are youth able to demonstrate loops they know in competition, but they go through a series of levels in which they need to have knowledge about cattle, horses, tack and more to be able to progress in those levels. In our area we have many youth that are raised on the Ranch and they now have the opportunity through a 4-H program to sharpen their ranching skills.
