What to bring to State 4-H Events

How to Avoid Falling for a Jerk or Jerkette Workshop- Wayne and Garfield Counties 9th-12th graders are invited to come and learn “How to Avoid Falling for a Jerk or Jerkette" workshop May 10th. Registration includes workshop activities, workbook, RAM magnet, t-shirt, one meal and light snacks. Everything teens should know about how to AVOID falling for a JERK(ette) workshops help lay a foundation for dating. Teens learn what a healthy relationship should look like and how to form relationships. The Relationship Attachment Model (RAM) is a visual tool to help evaluate a relationship, it is used to avoid the pit falls of falling for a Jerk or Jerkette. Registration deadline May 6th.

4-H Mock legislature - 9th-12th grade 4-Hers actually take over the leadership of the House of Representatives in our State capitol in Salt Lake City and go through the Legislative Process from presenting a bill, to committee work, to passing the bill.  Held in April. Please select link, print enrollment form, and return to Garfield County Extension Office prior to State 4-H Deadline (March 15, 2013)

i 4-H Camp- A fun-filled adventure targeted for 7th and 8th grade youth to help them discover the future of 4-H in their lives, as they develop teamwork and leadership skills. Older teens serve as group leaders. Come join the fun in middle of June. Registrations due May 1st

JYC(Junior Youth Conference)- On the Snow College campus in Ephraim, 4-H presents its camp for 5th and 6th grade aged youth.  Junior Youth Conference is held the last week in June every year.  The lessons learned and the friends made here last a lifetime.
