county achievement award

The Garfield County Achievement Award is designed to reward youth for their complete involvement in the 4-H youth program. We have set up this award so that any of Garfield Counties 4-H youth can be eligible to receive the 4-H Achievement award yearly. Currently the awards for completing any level of the Achievement award are an Achievement Certificate and the youths name entered into a drawing for a cash prize.

There are three levels to the Achievement Award: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

To be eligible for any level a youth must be completely enrolled in Garfield County 4-H (complete enrollment requires; enrollment, code of conduct, and medical release forms to be filled out and turned into the Extension Office)

To qualify for the Bronze Award (the lowest level) and have name entered into a drawing for $20- a youth needs a minimum of 50 points.

To qualify for the Silver Award and have name entered into a drawing for $50- a youth needs 100-130 point, is required to complete a 4-H Portfolio, and compete in County Contests.

To qualify for the Gold Award (the highest level) and have name entered into a drawing for $100- a youth needs a minimum of 140 points, is required to complete a 4-H Portfolio, compete in County Contests, and be a club officer.
