    4-H Livestock

We are excited to have our Garfield County Livestock Program streaming on-line! A livestock project provides an opportunity for 4-H or FFA youth to learn responsibility, animal care, nutrition, communication, training and technique skills, and so much more. To participate in a Junior Livestock show youth must be enrolled in 4-H or participating in an FFA Chapter program in Garfield County school systems.

4-H is about teaching youth life skills and livestock is used as a tool to accomplish this.

Each year, many of the same questions come up regarding participation in the Junior Livestock Shows. Here are some general rules and regulations. Contact the 4-H office for a complete list of rules and regulations. Please enroll in 4-H or FFA early to assure that you receive important information concerning changes and updates to the livestock shows.

Garfield County had a successful Livestock show with sale. Special thanks to the volunteer show committee, they are the reason for the show coming together like it did. Also many thanks to the wonderful sponsors who donated to the 4-H and FFA kids program and animals.
