This web
page has been designed to help people who are not tree experts
in the identification of native and commonly found non-native
trees found in the mountains of northern Utah. This key includes
nearly all trees found on wild lands in most of northern Utah,
southern Idaho, and southwestern Wyoming. For additional information
about this site and hints on tree characteristics to look for,
go to the information page. The dichotomous key will guide you through
identifying a specific tree and feel free to test your identification
skills with an interactive quiz. You can also choose
to go to the northern Utah species list and from there
you can go directly to photos and information about a specific
tree.
