Besides being
a spectacular view of Zion National Park this overlook gives us a view of aspen landscapes and a previous forest fire.

Aspen, Populas, tremuloides, prefers cool, moist, high elevation sites. Aspen grows in clumps or clones by reproducing genetic copies of itself from root sprouts. In an aspen forest there are many different clone clumps. Aspen have the ability to reproduce vigorously after a disturbance such as fire. Like the fire that occurred here.
