It can be challenging to be active in the winter months. 

It may be cold and snowy. There is less sunlight and it gets dark early. For some people, poor air-quality may keep them indoors. It can require a bit of creativity to maintain or begin an active lifestyle this time of year. Dress for the conditions and get outdoors.  There are many winter sports and activities that can be fun for the whole family: ice skating, sledding, hiking, and building a snowman.

Not up for going out?  Bad air day keeping you indoors? There are many ways to be active indoors.  Workout in your living room, speed walk around a local store or mall, take the stairs.

Has it been a long time since you have spent time with your best friend? Want more time to connect with your kids?  Be active together.  You can walk and talk, or play a game/sport.
