				A New Mexico irrigation district has taken an innovative and aggressive approach to tackle clean water and energy challenges by taking advantage of unique characteristics of the local watershed and irrigation project. Elephant Butte Irrigation District is employing the ingenuity of farmers and is now generating clean, renewable alternative energy within its existing canal system.

				Consider a family in business together. One of the five siblings is killed in an equipment accident, then, within a few months, another announces that he is divorcing his unfaithful wife. As shareholders in the family business, each of these siblings inherited equal shares of the company. As children, they always got along well and their hardworking parents assumed they always would, so established no guidelines for what might eventually happen to the shares they gave each child.
