    Professional Practice Extension Assistant Professor-Watershed/Water Quality Education

    The USU Extension, Professional Practice Extension Assistant Professor-Watershed/Water Quality Education, this is a non-tenure track fiscal year position and will be housed at the Wetlands Discovery Point Building at the Utah State University Botanical Center (USUBC) in Kaysville, UT.   The position will be dedicated to water quality, wetlands and watersheds and other water related Extension STEM and natural resources programming.  This individual would coordinate and evaluate existing water quality and wetland outreach programs, as well as develop and assess new programs, displays and other opportunities.  Wetland Discovery Point is accessible to Utah's population centers along the Wasatch Front, and provides many opportunities to develop additional monitoring programs and displays as well as host educational programs and field trips.   Though this position would be based out of and primarily focus on the USUBC, it would also provide programming at our other Extension Centers and statewide as appropriate.  This position will begin October 1, 2018.

    Temporary Family and Consumer Science Program Coordinator

    Utah State University Extension-Uintah County invites applications for a Family and Consumer Science (FCS) Program Coordinator position. This is a 24-month appointment and available immediately.  Program Coordinator will extend and expand research-based programming for adults and youth in Uintah County. Existing programs include Food Sense (SNAP-Ed), Food Preservation, positive youth development and others.  Program Coordinator will help recruit, train and supervise volunteer leaders, collaborate with other local resource agencies and expand FCS programming. The position will be located at the Uintah County Extension office in Vernal, Utah. We welcome candidates with diverse interests in Family and Consumer Sciences. Exceptional organizational skills, excellent interpersonal communication abilities and the ability to provide leadership in the community in a self-directed manner are essential.

    Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Science

    This position is a full time (9 month) tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Dietetics in the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Sciences (NDFS) at Utah State University.  The role for this position is 95% Teaching and 5% Service.  Applicants must have a PhD (or equivalent degree) in nutrition or a closely related field. Applicants must also be a Registered Dietitian. Preference will be for individuals who have at least three years experience working as an RD in a practice setting.  Acquisition of tenure will require demonstrated excellence in teaching in and outside the classroom, plus a record of scholarship contributing to the pedagogy of teaching and/or to the core knowledge in their field(s).  The start date of this position is August 1, 2019.

    4-H After-School Program Coordinator - Salt Lake County Office

    The Salt Lake County Office of Utah State University Extension seeks a qualified individual to coordinate the 4-H After-school program located in Kearns, Magna and Nephi. These schools are home to a very diverse and economically challenged student population. The position will provide overall program leadership to afterschool Education/Family Coordinators and club instructors. The Program Coordinator will work to find and maintain community partnerships to benefit all sites in both education and family services.     Utah State University Extension invites applications for a Family and Consumer Sciences/Health and Wellness/4-H Extension faculty position. This is a 12-month, fiscal-year appointment and is available immediately. Extension faculty develop, provide, evaluate, and coordinate research-based educational programs for youth and adults. Extension faculty also recruit, train and supervise volunteer leaders and serve as a liaison between local clientele, other resource agencies, and Utah State University administrators, faculty, and programs. Extension faculty have Washington county, regional, and University responsibilities. An office will be provided at the county Extension building in Hurricane, Utah. We welcome candidates with diverse interests related to family and consumer sciences such as nutrition, food sciences, food safety, food preservation, parenting and relationship education, family finance, health and wellness, mental health promotion, family self-sufficiency (poverty reduction initiatives), or similar. This is a tenure track, fiscal-year appointment and is available November 1, 2018. Extension faculty develop, provide, evaluate, and coordinate research-based educational programs for youth and adults. Extension faculty also recruit, train and supervise volunteer leaders and serve as a liaison between local clientele, other resource agencies, and Utah State University administrators, faculty, and programs. This position will have San Juan county, regional, and University responsibilities. An office will be provided at the USU Extension office located within the San Juan County Courthouse in Monticello, Utah. We welcome candidates with diverse interests related to agriculture, natural resources, horticulture, range, livestock, etc. We also welcome candidates with diverse 4-H interests such as youth development, leadership, citizenship and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), livestock, horse, and shooting sports.

Extension faculty develop, provide, evaluate, and coordinate research-based educational programs for youth and adults.  Extension faculty also recruit, train, and supervise volunteer leaders and serve as a liaison between local clientele, other resource agencies, and Utah State University administrators, faculty, and programs. As this Extension position is regional, office space is provided at the USU/Weber County Extension office in Ogden and the USU/Morgan County Extension office in Morgan, Utah.
