    Extension Assistant Professor - Small Farms and 4-H Youth Agriculture Programs

    This is a full-time, tenure track, twelve-month, fiscal year position. Extension faculty develop, provide, evaluate, and coordinate research-based educational programs for youth and adults. Extension faculty also recruit, train and supervise volunteer leaders and serve as a liaison between local clientele, other resource agencies, and Utah State University administrators, faculty, and programs. Extension faculty have Summit County, regional, and University responsibilities. An office will be provided at the USU Extension office, located at the Summit County Courthouse in Coalville, Utah. We welcome candidates with diverse interests related to 4-H livestock programs, small farms development and production, urban agriculture, and horticulture. The proposed start date for this position is June 12, 2019.

    Extension Assistant/Associate Professor, Family and Consumer Sciences

    This is a 12-month, fiscal-year appointment and is available immediately. Extension faculty develop, provide, evaluate, and coordinate research-based educational programs for youth and adults. Extension faculty also recruit, train and supervise volunteer leaders and serve as a liaison between local clientele, other resource agencies, and Utah State University administrators, faculty, and programs.     Staff Assistant I - Duchesne

    Duchesne County, USU Extension office in Duchesne is accepting applications for a Staff Assistant position. This position provides support to the Extension Agriculture Agent, FCS Agent, 4-H/Youth Development Educator, and 4-H Coordinator by overseeing the smooth, efficient operation of the USU Extension office in Duchesne County. Successful applicant will be expected to use discretion and have exemplary customer services skills to manage a wide range of administrative duties including resolving issues in a professional manner. This position is a 75% time benefited Staff Assistant position (approximately 30 hours/week). The position is contingent upon continuous funding from Duchesne County, need, and performance of duties.

    Program Coordinator I

    The primary responsibility of the Youth Program Coordinator is to support the Extension Youth Program efforts in three areas: volunteer recruitment and training, youth participant recruitment/retention and seeking donations (financial and in kind). Extension’s signature youth program is the 4-H Club, additional programs include but are not limited to: educator training, school enrichment, camps and teen leadership. This position will work closely with teen and adult volunteers/mentors, provide volunteer training and oversight, and build the overall capacity to meet community needs and statewide priorities. USU Extension Youth Programs focus on the areas of: STEM, Agriculture, Healthy Living, Civic Engagement and Communicative/Expressive Arts.

    Project Coordinator III - Bastian Agriculture Center

    The Project Coordinator will support the planning and fund development of the Bastian Agriculture Center (BAC), a new 100-acre farm facility highlighting 4-H Youth Development, STEM education, urban agriculture, and conference center owned and operated by Utah State University Extension. The Project Coordinator will be part of the Extension Youth Programs department. They will oversee further planning and support the fund development team to design and manage the four primary functions and activities of BAC: (1) 4-H Youth Development and STEM Education, (2) Urban Agriculture (3) Food Preservation and Production and (4) Natural Resources.
