Gardening and landscaping is a pervasive hobby in Duchesne County and is also an important source of food for many families. In many families, the home garden supplies the major portion of the family vegetable supply, in fact, an estimated 80 percent of the 3500 households in the county raise gardens. The Duchesne County public relies upon the USU Extension Service for gardening and horticulture information.
