Lawns and LawncareTurfgrass is hands down the most abused set of plants out there. Overwatering is the number one form of turfgrass abuse. Insects and fungal diseases are often a secondary problem to a stressed turfgrass. To keep your lawn healthy, here are a few tips: -Only water 1-1/2 inches per week during the spring and fall months -Only water 2-21/2 inches per week during the hot summer months -Mow turfgrass at 2 1/2 - 3 inches to promote strong roots -Use slow-release fertilizers whenever possible
