Food and Nutrition Camp I

Participants will practice safety and making healthy food choices while making a nutritious sandwich and other food items using a microwave and blender.

 

Who:    Ages 11-18

Date:    July 18-19, 2007

Time:    9:00 am- noon

Cost:    $15

Place:   Davis County Fairgrounds

This two day camp will cover basic cooking skills using the oven. Day one, participants will make a sandwich wrap, veggie tray with dip, smoothie and cookie, while learning kitchen safety, nutrition and plan a menu for day two. Day two, participants will make the menu they planned the previous day, set a table, learn etiquette and eat their meal.
