This month I decided to spotlight a web site that is a little different than usual. There has been a lot of talk lately about futures trading of fluid milk. If you are like me, you are not fully up on the futures market and what it all means. Some of you may need just a simple refresher course. The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) web site may be what you are looking for. The web site is:

This URL will take you to the CME Education Center. From here you can click on Educational Features on the Web, then click on Web Instant Lessons. You can now go through a series of 15 very short lessons which explain how the CME works and what the terms mean. You can also go back and pursue other related sites within the CME web site. The Futures Intelligence quiz was fun, but convinced me that intelligence had nothing to do with how I answered the questions. I also found the Introduction to Hand Signals interesting, even though I dont even scratch my nose when I go to an auction.     If you are interested in the futures market and want a good beginner course, this is a site to get acquainted with. ©
