WEB SITE OF THE MONTH
Dr. Allen Young
USU Extension Dairy Specialist
As the year 1999 reaches its half-way point, I think it is important that you, as dairy producers, have a starting place to begin looking up information on Y2K (I hope you have begun). As a means of getting you started, and believe me, there are plenty of web sites available, I have put together a list of web sites which will help you as you evaluate your current situation and determine what needs to be done to prepare for the new year. Look for Y2K Sites at the USU Dairy Extension Web site.
Again, we are not predicting gloom and doom, but advocating being prepared, similar to what you would do if you had a bad snowstorm and the electricity went off. If you have any questions about what items at your dairy need to be assessed, reread the Y2K article from the May 1999 issue of the USU Dairy Newsletter. It can be accessed at the same web site by clicking on Back Issues of the Dairy Newsletter.
