Ronald L. Boman to Retire
Dr. Ronald L. Boman, Extension Dairy Nutrition Specialist, will retire on June 30, 2005. Ron came to USU in 1980 as the manager of the university dairy farm after having been an Assistant Professor at the Southern Piedmont Research Continuing Education Center in Blackstone, Virginia. In 1986 he left Logan and spent 2 years as part of a USAID project to improve dairy practices in Ecuador. After coming back from Ecuador in 1988, he assumed his current position. He has worked extensively in nutrition for calves, heifers and lactating dairy cows. In recent years he has been involved with the irrigated pastures project at USU. Ron is originally from Lewiston, Utah and currently resides in Logan with his wife, Rosella. They plan to begin an LDS mission soon after his retirement. We wish them a long and active future.
