Western Horse Program 2013
The 4-H Horse Program is for youth 3rd-12th grade. Each youth is a member of individual clubs that meet throughout the year. As acounty, youth come together for spring clinics, horse camp, service projects, fundraisers, summer horse shows, horse achievementand more!
The 4-H Horse program is divided into three age groups:
Juniors = 3rd-5th grade
Intermediates = 6-8th graders
Seniors = 9th-12th graders

County Shows 2013
Participants need to pre-register at the USU Extension Office no later than Friday before the show. The entry fee is $8 if you register in advance, $10 if you register at the show. If you know you are going to go to each show we recommend registering and paying the $24.00 all at once. All age groups will compete on Tuesday Night. Don't forget to study for your tests! See Dress Code Below for Dress Requirements.

Helmet Rule: as a Horse Council we encourage helmet use at all practices, camps, events, and activities for the safety of the youth involved. Helmets will continue to be required at Horse Shows.

A. Judged Event-
1. Western Hat or Helmet
a. Helmet is required for all events on Horseback. Western Hat may be worn during the Halter/Showmanship Event.
2. White Shirt
a. Must button or snap down the front
b.Must have collar, cuff, and long sleeve
3. Blue or Black Denim Jeans
a. No Chaps- exception: Junior participants may wear chaps during bareback equitation
4. Western Boots
5. Western Belt
6. 4-H Patch
a. Placed on upper left sleeve
b. If a patch is not worn, it is a drop in ribbon
B. Speed Events-same as above except:
1. T-shirt or short or long sleeve western shirt allowed in place of white shirt
2. Helmet Required
