Global Youth Service Day – April 27th
April 27th is Global Youth Service Day 2013. This day provides a great opportunity to involve your 4-Hers in a service project. Here are two projects you might consider.
#1 Come to the Bunderson Center, 641 East 200 North, in Brigham City between 9 a.m. and noon on Saturday, April 27th and assemble craft kits for Primary Children's Medical Center, tie 2 quilts for the New Hope Crisis Center and sew 50 school bags, for the LDS Humanitarian Center.
#2 Purchase any of the items below to put in the school bags we are making for the LDS Humanitarian Center and bring them to the USU Extension office in Brigham City or to the Bunderson Center the day of the service project.
Supplies for 1 school bag:
- 4 unsharpened pencils
- 1 rubber eraser (approximately 1X2")
- 1 pair blunt nosed scissors with metal blades
- 1 pencil sharpener
- 1 straight edge ruler - 12 inches with metric
- Glued or spiral bound notebooks with lined sheets, 8X10 1/2" or 8 1/2X11"
- Notebooks should total approximately 450 sheets
- 1 set assorted colored pencils (12 pencils per set, approximately 7" long
