Q: Why should I use the new USU Extension IVC system?
A:The IVC technology represents a significant investment by USU Extension and is intended to enhance Extension programs, day-to-day communications, and professional development for all Extension employees.

Q: I like the idea of using the IVC unit, however it is an intimidating piece of equipment. Is there a quick and easy way for me to make a direct IVC call to another USU Extension location?

Q: Can I connect my IVC system directly to more than one location?
A: Currently, no.  Connections to more than one IVC location need to be scheduled at least 5 days in advance through an RCDE “Bridge” using this link: http://extension.usu.edu/ivc/htm/originating-ivcform
You will be provided with a “Bridge” call number for all locations to connect at your specified day and time.
 
Q: I have connected to an IVC site, but they cannot hear me.
A: Please check the mute buttons on both IVC and TV remote controls and on the external microphone.
 
Q: I recently read about an IVC presentation that I would like to watch.  How do I get connected?

Q: How do I shut down my IVC system?
A: Use the IVC remote control to end the call (red phone) and the other remote control to turn off the TV or projector.  The IVC system will automatically go into hibernation after a few minutes of inactivity.  Please do not unplug or power off the IVC system.  UEN makes periodic system diagnostic checks to all USU Extension IVC sites during the off hours between 3:00 and 5:00 am.  UEN requires our IVC systems to be in hibernation mode with the IVC power on in order to complete the system diagnostic checks.
